Stockton Heth Tyler Heth inherited Belle Hampton from his parents, Governor James Hoge Tyler. He added the swimming pool and tennis court and added the garage to the cottage and kitchen to the Main house about 1930.
Joseph Haven Hoge (1820-1898) is the son of General James Hoge. He built Wheatland in Giles County, VA and married Susan Crockett Sayers (1825-1883).

John Hoge's House John Hoge was General James Hoge’s brother, James Mayo Hoge’s son. He purchased the home after James Mayo’s death in 1812. The current owner is renovating the home as of 2020.

Oak Hill, an ambitious Federal plantation house erected in 1823-1825 by Samuel Hairston, was the work of James Dejarnett, a prominent area builder, and was noted for its fine woodwork. Oak Hill was gutted by fire in 1988.

Robert Hammet Robert is the brother of Sue Hammet, Governor Tyler’s wife. He died in 1864 in the Battle of Resaca, Georgia.
